So, my shiny new marshaling overalls arrived today, £5 delivered from eBay, and they fit too! Gooduns too by the looks of things, Proban (obviously) and meet the relevant BS (as expected). Has a BMRMC logo on the front and i got to wondering if tis worth joining and is there any significant benefits? I've learnt with all motor related clubs that require money for membership that it is best to get the opinions of members first (and not get ripped off for something that's not worth bothering with), so what says you? I have noticed that they do student membership for students under 23! Which i find discriminatory and already puts me off Need to get me some hi-vis waterproof bottoms next, given the other week at the blackburn services! But i think i might be able to get me hands on some of them even cheaper than the overalls.

Well worth joining for all info/support provided. However you may find you have bitten off more than you can chew!BMMC marshals tend to do lots (& I do mean lots!) of events, plus they have a grading scheme which can mean you can feel obliged to get more deeply involved than you first intended. if you only intend sticking with club marshalling (LMC plus other local invited events) You may consider joining for one year to dip your toe in the water ( & get various training materials). Other opinions are available!!!!
