Yes, I'll be CofC - but don't let that put you off.
As Andy says this is a National A meeting which means that it is a round of the British Hillclimb Champ. Come and see the fastest cars in the BHC on one of the fastest and most picturesque hills in the championship.
Barbon Hillclimb is located in Barbon village about 5 miles north of Kirkby Lonsdale, or about an hour and a quarter north from Aintree. If you can make the time and journey north you will be made very welcome.

It was a good day out with good weather and company from WMC guys. Thanks Andy. Disappointing the top runners decided to pull out after a big oil spill on the straight before the hairpin Allegedly due to a bump in the track surface after it had been resurfaced. Wallace Menzies ran his DJ Firestorm and got FTD under 22 seconds.

Disappointing the top runners decided to pull out after a big oil spill on the straight before the hairpin Allegedly due to a bump in the track surface after it had been resurfaced. Wallace Menzies ran his DJ Firestorm and got FTD under 22 seconds. I think the "top runners" pulled out because (a) it was cancelled as rounds of the British Hillclimb Championship & (b) they were advised against running. They also had a BHC meeting meeting at Harewood the following day. Two of the "top runners" (Trevor Willis and Wallace Menzies) did run and actually found no problem with the track. I anticipate that the problem 'bump' will be fixed in time for the June meeting and I have been told by the man who matters that the BHC will be back at Barbon in 2011.
