We are running a test (stage) on the Flying Scotsman Classic Endurance Rally for pre-war cars on Saturday 2nd April
at Arley Hall, Cheshire near the M6/M56 jct at Lymm (all on closed roads in Private Estate) www.endurorally.com/index.html
Signing on 07.30 – 08.00
Test opens 08.00 First Car 08-59 and Closes at 10-50.
The event is already full having reached its max number of Entries – 80 cars. The entry list has to be seen to be believed!
It is on part Tarmac and part gravel roads in the Arley Hall Estate, and our test starts at 118/674799 & finishes in front of the Hall at 109/ 676808.
What sort of cars will be taking part? Look here:- www.migdalski.co.uk/FSR.htm
It is an incredible and highly appropriate location for this rally as the crews continue on their voyage of discovery from The Brooklands Museum to Edinburgh. It’s an event not to be missed, despite the early start!!
I believe that this is only the second time this venue has been used for a rally, the last time being a stage of Rally Evo (ex-Lombard Revival) and coincidentally, LMC ran the same stage for that one too, albeit in the opposite direction!
Interested? If you are interested in helping with the Arley Hall test on this excellent classic event, please contact John Harden (yes, it's your Chairman again!) by posting a message on this forum, or send a message via:- www.liverpoolmotorclub.com/contact-us or phone John on 0161 969 7137. Previous experience is not necessary; our duties are fairly easy, setting up the venue (20 cones, tape etc), timing the cars through with Liege clocks and checking that everyone follows the correct course, without hitting any cones - just like an AutoSolo! Then it's just a matter of packing up & going home.
