why do simple things get so confusing, just thought it might be a good idea to show marshals how to help extracate a injured driver/passenger, should the worst happen. John. I think that you are possibly missing my point, simple things do not have to complicated or confusing, and yes your point is a good idea. I think a problem may arise, ( and this is just my views and not that of the L M C ) is " if a Marshal in the example above caused any further injuries eg. " Spinal " and it was an M S A Meeting the question may be raised as to did the Marshal / Marshal's have adequate and proficient M S A Approved Training in the Extracation of Drivers ?. Extracation is always best left to the Professional Medics, the only exception to this is if the car is on fire and you have no alternative but to get him / her out of the car as quickly as possible.

Those CSMA training days in May & June include practical hands-on training - including tackling fires, not just talking about it! Well worth attending if you can.
