I should be there as usual, barring car disasters (and I'm probably close enough to walk!)

Have we got the Clatterham Armageddon (/Caterham Academy) again tommorow ? That said,to be fair, last year they didn't have any problems that I can remember.

Yep, 52 Caterhams, or is it 53? Actually, it's a d**n good job that we've got them as otherwise the event would be way short of covering its costs. And ltes face it, everyone has to start somewhere in motorsport and it certainly gives the contenders an excellent grounding in Sprints, Hillclimbs & Circuit Racing at a very reasonable price: Entry included with the purchase of a Caterham Academy car Novices only; must not have previously held a racing licence Programme includes 7 sprints, hillclimbs and circuit races Road legal 1.6 Ford Sigma powered cars on Avon control tyres Full factory support at every event
Impressive! Jealous, me? Well yes, slightly, shame I can't afford it - oh, and I'm not actually a novice!!

Don't get me wrong, my comment was firmly tongue-in-cheek and positive, I love Caterhams , and the Academy visit is always good. +1 on the envy as well There really should be a clause that says they have to let the marshalls have a drive at lunchtime

There really should be a clause that says they have to let the marshalls have a drive at lunchtime Great idea and I am sure Caterham would provide a car for just that purpose HOWEVER there may be a problem with the insurance!

I always carry my Comp Licence - but have they a car with a tow-bar as I seem to have spent the last few years driving around Aintree with a trailer attached - but the weight does seem to stop the rear end breaking away! Maybe I should have tried it on the Uno Turbo!?

We were lucky with the weather. Been competing and marshalling at Lymm Autosolo today. After 45 mins of standing in the rain I was beginning to wish I had stayed in bed, so what a full day at Aintree would have been like doesn't bare thinking about.
