For those of you who are chomping at the bit to get your booking in for the 2nd June trackday, keep watching the Club's main website where the booking forms will be available for downloading within the next couple of weeks.
We have a couple of issues to sort out first regarding insurance, but we hope to have them resolved shortly. As soon as we get the answer we are looking for, bookings will open.
Sorry for the delay.

There will indeed be a discount for LMC members as usual, but thanks to a phenomenal 450% increase in insurance premiums, we are going to have to raise the booking fees to cover part of the increased event costs.
We have been charging the same fees for over 5 years now, and have been able to absorb all previous increases in running costs. However, this time we don't have any option but to increase prices, although we are still only passing on half of the increase.
So, it looks as though the fees for our 2007 trackdays will be £110, LMC members £107. However, as quite a few LMC members share cars on our trackdays, we have decided to reduce some of the impact of the increase by reducing the fee for a second driver sharing a car in the same session, to £30 this year.
We trust that everyone understands the need for the increase in fees in 2007. We feel the event is still great value for money, we hope you do too!
If the above seems a bit complicated, it should all become clearer once we get the new booking forms on the website shortly.

Our insurers have substantially increased our insurance premium because the marshal injured in the incident at the last track day has decided to lodge a personal injury claim against us. We are defending but in the insurance game, the insured (i.e. the Club) appears to be guilty until proven innocent. We had managed to hold the booking fee at the same level for 5 consecutive years, so we hope that people will not be too upset at the modest increase this year. Dont forget that for 2007, we have reduced the fee for a second driver sharing the car in the same session, and the ARDS instructor is still free!

It's only 10 days since bookings opened for the June Track Day, and entries have absolutely flooded in. The Novice Group is full, Intermediate is full, Expert is full, and there are just 3 places left for single seaters.
So, if you havent sent in your booking yet, then you are really too late, unless you have a single seater in which case give Ron a ring on 0780 392 8369 without delay!
Sorry if you have not been successful this time, but we did warn you that it would fill up quickly !

Didn't get a run? then why not marshal? You get to see how it's done (or NOT!) when stood trackside. Maybe the organisers will look kindly on your entry for the next track day? ?? Without marshals no one gets to play!

We say the limit is 103 or 105dBa in our publicity, but actually, we don't do a static test on each vehicle. However, we do monitor noise on a drive-by test, using a highly calibrated and efficient device situated just after Club corner....... my ear The driver of any vehicle that is seriously loud will be asked to do something about it. If the car cannot be quietened, then we reserve the right to send it home. In practice, we have never had to do that as drivers have always found a way to bring the noise down to an acceptable level. Generally, the main problems is not so much the sound level, it's more to do with the pitch of that sound. A high revving bike engine is far more annoying than a low pitch V8 producing the same volume. So in practice it could be said that if I like the sound, (a growly V8?) then it's OK. If I don't (bike at 9000revs) then something needs to be done as our neighbours will be annoyed too. Does all that make sense?
