What is the schedule for Thursday's Sunbeam Extravaganza in Southport?
I will be available to help but may not make it to tonight's Club Nite.

The Sunbeam Extravaganza starts at 10:00 in Victoria Park where the cars will line-up. At 10:30 there is a parade through the town and at 11:00 they drive out to Birkdale Beach to the site of Seagrave's World Record breaking runs. There are further scheduled events during the day culminating in a formal dinner. If you can make it I think it will be one for the record books.

Over 20 Vintage and Historic Sunbeams and Talbots gathered along with a selection of other cars (Rileys, Daimlers, Rolls Royce, Austin and a Morgan-Matchless three wheeler) for a parade through the town before assembling on the beach. The National Museum provided the sister car to Seagrave's World Land Speed Record breaker to join in the static display on Southport's golden sands. The actual car is undergoing a massive rebuild in America and was unable to be there. Just as in 1926 it was a bitingly cold day but the enthusiasm of all who attended shone through.
