Hello i am new to the site and motor racing as such ( i have raced in THE BHRC british hotrod club stockcars)
I have a xr4i and would like to join in on sprints hillclimbs i already do trackdays in it at Elvington.
It is already stripped out so it looks like i will be in the modded class.
What can i do to my car to make it a little quicker so i dont look like a complete idiot out on track.
I am working to a budget so will not be making any massive mods.
Any help is good help thankyou.

As we suggested if you are not going to carry the trim the best thing to do is strip everything out that can be stripped out. Secondly look into buying some slicks as the rest of the Mod Prod class will be on the 'baldies'. Rather than spend a lot of cash on trick engines I would suggest maybe selling the car and looking to move into the Kit Car class (either Road Going or Mod Prod). However the very best things to do are: 1) Join Liverpool Motor Club immediately! 2) Get your Nat B Speed license. 3) Get a set of FIA approved race overalls. 4) Do some sprints and check out the various classes. Best of luck and I'll see you either at the next club nite or at Aintree for the first sprint!
