Ok, so its a slightly obscure Newspaper title, but the Lancashire Telegraph can put many national papers to shame with its excellent coverage of Motorsport. Make your own mind up, have a look www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/motorsport/ I think you may be surprised!

I have emailed the Sports Desk Editor to see if he is interested in pre-event news stories & reports. I'll keep you posted.

Ah! Now I was wondering how long it would take you to do that! Thanks Steve. I was very pleasantly surprised with what I saw when Steve Johnson (AMSC) suggested I had a look at that paper. I wonder if there are any other local papers that we could tap into who take motorsport seriously?

I wonder if there are any other local papers that we could tap into who take motorsport seriously? The Lancashire Telegraph have a well defined catchment area so I was only able to provide one short news story from Saturday. However I will be posting a full North West Calendar of sprints and hillclimbs during the next few days.

How big is their catchment? How far south to they cover? Would probably be worth featuring a driver or two from within their area before the next local sprint & then doing further updates(s) leading up to one of our sprints at Aintree, with photos.

Basically the catchment area is : Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington, Clithero, Pendle & Rossendale including all the villages & towns within those confines. I would need plenty of advance warning plus a contact number for the driver/drivers. I don't see why not though.
