I need to blow away some cobwebs, so my entry form has gone in the post for K&DMC Demon Tweeks on 24th Jan. I just hope its not covered in Ice, Snow, chucking it down with rain, blowing a gale or a combination of all of them!

Hi all Entries still available for this weekends autosolo at Camelot, Regs can be downloaded from the club web site www.bolton-le-moorscarclub.co.ukwww.anwcc.orgRegards Pete Sharples B-le-M CC The venue normally has a slightly "loose & gritty" surface, so plenty of fun can often be had sliding gently round the course!

Just back from the AMSC Autosolo at Lymm Truckstop. Had decided to take the tin top instead of the Moke..........a no brainer really. The event should really have been entitled Swimmingsolo in light of the amount of water that collected at the bottom end of the tests. Fords and water splashes are usually to be found on Rallies and the wave of water over the windscreen made aiming for the next gate a bit of guess work on the first run. Even so there was a surprising amount of grip in most places so a fun, if not splashy time was had by all. The only casualty was "Tiga" who rearranged his front number plate having made contact with something other than a cone. The C of C wisely called time after everyone completed the morning run as the rain continued to hammer down and the swimming pool got larger! Also, the officials, who had not been able to warm up in a car while competing, were in the early stages of Hypothermia. So a big thank you to them. The next one's on the 13th May organised by the Under 17 Motor Club at the M65 Services at Junction 4 Blackburn. They are also promoting a Clubmans event on the 12/13th May aimed at young drivers over the age of 14, as a way of introducing them to Motorsport. They have to carry an adult passenger and judging by the performance of some of the youngsters today the idea is working. Excellent driving from Simon Robinson to take FTD, he can even post faster time than some of the adult drivers!

If you're doing the M65 services event I might pop along, not far from caravan, to give you moral support . Did think of entering the MG but it's a bit big for that venue!
