A few thoughts - most of which you will already have thought of.... Don't forget your Club membership card! Presumably the front towing eye can be screwed into the socket at the back if necessary? Race suit, helmet, gloves. Has helmet been scrutinised before? If so, it will have a sticker on it by your right ear, showing it is MSA approved. If not, have £1.70 with you to pay the scrutineer for the sticker. Make sure the head restraint can be adjusted so that it is level with your ears when you are seated in the car Is your fire extinguisher in date & securely mounted? Petrol. Have you enough for the event, but not too much as this adds weight to the car? Ensure your car's brake fluid, water, and particularly engine oil levels are correct. I know I'm stating the obvious with some of these, but people do forget .. and no doubt others will think of more checks to make too. Don't take things that you don't need at the Circuit. Are you driving to the event in your competition car? Then consider what you are going to do with anything that you don't want in the car whilst you are out on track. Coat, jack, all those papers that you remembered to take with you to show at signing on. What are you going to do with them? You may have a place inside the car for some of them, or a support car to put them in, but if you have to leave them outside the car, will they be safe/dry etc?
If you are driving your competition car home again after the event, consider your tyre wear (particularly front left) during the day and keep checking after every run. You don't want to be driving home on illegal tyres
Finally, a big helping of good luck for a good time, but I'm afraid I can't recommend where to purchase that one!

Depends on the venue. At Aintree, if your family are with you as you arrive (in good time for signing-on), they will get in free. If they arrive later then they may well have to pay.

Pete, I think you'll find that the question was actually about a competitor getting his family into an event, rather than sign on times for marshals. Ian's reply was the correct answer!
