Hi john,
I was hoping to make this date but it clashed with a Cadwell Park Day maybe make it next may. How did it go? I am surprised to see no feedback at all. You couln't have asked for better weather in October could you? Did you not mention the forum in the drivers briefing?
Regards,
Mike

(Message received direct from Steve Brennan:-) Hi. Just a quick few words of thanks for an excellent day spent attending your track day. We all had great day, will certainly look to book with you again next year.
Also would you be able to let me know which company were taking the photos as I hope to purchase some on line if it is possible.
Once again thank you very much to your club and all its members and friends who worked so hard.
Best regards Steve Brennan (Yellow Westfield - Group B)

Best regards Steve Brennan (Yellow Westfield - Group B) Hi Steve Thanks so much for your message – I’m so glad you enjoyed your day at Aintree. I think it fair to say that weather like Saturday’s always makes an event even better; thank goodness it wasn’t wet like Sunday. We always appreciate feedback, good and bad, but it’s comments like yours that give us the extra motivation to put on our events at Aintree. As for the photographers, they are Big Image Photography and will probably be loading a selection of photos on their motorsport gallery shortly. www.bigimagephotos.co.uk/photocart/index.php?do=photocart&viewGallery=4760Once again, thanks for your comments – it was a pleasure having you with us. You couldn't have asked for better weather in October could you? Did you not mention the forum in the drivers briefing? Regards, Mike Hi Mike Sorry you couldn't make it, you missed an excellent day - back to our normal standard in fact. The first session was under way before 9.30, and apart from a couple of stoppages to recover cars (and one for lunch of course) the event ran continuously until almost exactly 5pm. I modified the drivers briefing in the light of previous comments, and we communicated rather better with the drivers during the two incidents. The feedback we received on the day was excellent (though as mentioned above, good weather always makes everyone feel better). However I too am surprised there's so little comment here, particularly as I did mention the forum at the briefing, albeit very briefly. Hope to see you back next May. John H

I'd also like to say thanks for an excellent event despite my day being cut very short with a bent valve on my little Wolseley Hornet ! I was only just starting to have fun and hadn't driven (sprinted) at Aintree for well over a decade ! Great to go back to the circuit , good value for money and well organised , I'll be back next year no doubt. PS my computer won't open either of the photo links above sadly. Cheers Pete

Thanks for your messages Norm & Pete, & welcome to the forum. Glad you all enjoyed your visit to Aintree. And Pete, we were sorry to lose you so early in the day, the car really looked & sounded good until....... ! Big Image don't seem to have uploaded their photos yet; maybe they'll do it at weekend. However, the link should work to the directory. Try copying & pasting the address below if clicking on it doesn't work straight away:- www.bigimagephotos.co.uk/photocart/index.php?category=163Alternatively, go to www.bigimagephotos.co.uk click on "Find Your Photos" at the very top of the page, then select Merseyside, and we should be the top left group of photos, when they eventually appear. VFJ's photos are at: smg.photobucket.com/albums/v504/vfj/aintree%2001-10-11/Good luck! John H

Thanks for that, still nothing from Big Image though. I've emailed Big Image to try to find out what's going on. They are losing business!

Steve Fox, the Big Image photographer who covered last October's track day has been totally let down by the Big Image agency, who despite repeated requests, failed to put his October 2011 photos on the ordering system.
He will be back at all our events (as far as I know) in 2012, so if you want to ask about photos from any previous events, you have a golden opportunity to ask the man himself.
