Simple really: 1) What make of chassis is this? 2) What engine is pushing it? 3) Where is the photo taken? So that's a nice easy one for starters!

Guessing of course, but how about: Chassis being a Cooper? - 'cos it's BRG, has no stripes & I think the Cooper Maserati F1 car had a big ugly snout like that. Engine - hmmm, doubt if anyone has Maserati money so how about some cheap old US 90% V8, maybe an Oldsmobile - thinking maybe intercontinental Cooper now? Place - well likely to be local, looks uphill + gravel on outside, so maybe last bend at Harwood? Since all 3 answers likele to be wrong and no other takers, how about some hints?

Dennis, not bad for a Mallock driver!
The chassis is a Cooper!
The venue is Harewood but not the final bend (Quarry).
Now as to the engine, well it is a V8 BUT it isn't out of a Yank Tank!
Over to you!

Since it's not Quarry, I'm lost because I guess it must be one of the "new" bits & since I haven't been there in a decade I would neither recognize them or be able to name them!
As to engine, maybe it does look smaller than a yank tank, especially with those dinky little exhausts. Doubt if anyone would put anything remotely new in a Cooper. Still doens't look as small as a 1.5 litre, so, though Cooper Climax trips nicely off the tongue I'm temtped to rule them out - though they may have built some bigger ones for Tasman series races. That leaves me a bit stuck. So, it has to be another wild guess - how about a Daimler 2.5 litre?
However, no more guesses without a hint.

Firstly the corner at Harewood is definately on the OLD bit of the hill. The one before Farmhouse and after Willow! (That enough of a clue?) Secondly the 'wild guess' is spot on! It is a 2.5 Daimler V8. In fact the car is the one Martin Brain had Cooper's specially build for him. It was based on a T87 chassis. So once you have worked out the corner you will have a full house!

Despite you telling me exactly which bend it is I sill had to look up the name - it's Orchard.
Only 2 months to Aintree - better put away the computer & get out the spanners!
