In case you hadn't already heard, we are pleased to announce that in 2013, Liverpool Motor Club is joining with Kirkby Lonsdale Motor Club to run the spectacular Hillclimbs at Barbon Manor in Cumbria. Barbon Hillclimb is a relatively short but very quick speed hill climb course just outside the village of Barbon, near Kirkby Lonsdale in Cumbria. It may be the shortest hillclimb in the UK, but it is incredibly popular with drivers who enjoy the challenge and unique atmosphere that the venue provides. There will be two days of competition on the hill this year, both open to cars that will range from road going family saloons to powerful single seat racing cars. 11th May 2013 – British Hillclimb Championship with competitors from Local & Regional Championships too. 15th June 2013 - A qualifying round for several of the top Local & Regional Championships See the Barbon website for more information, regs & entry forms.

There are still plenty of places available for the National B Hillclimb at Barbon Manor on Saturday 15th June 2013. We've extended the closing date for the receipt of entries to 13th June (two days before the event) but we suggest that you phone Bob Milloy (Entries Secretary) to reserve a place if you are entering the event after Monday 10th June (His phone number is in the regs.) The event is a round of several championships, including those organised by Chester & Liverpool MC's , ANWCC, Wigton, Longton & the Yorkshire Sprint & Hillclimb Championship. Will you join us at this spectacular venue? We need every booking we can get if we are to develop this great venue for the future. Regs and booking form are available at www.liverpoolmotorclub.com/barbon-hillclimb/

Well over 70 cars entered now... some really nice kit too. If you are not already competing, why not come along and help run the meeting? We are going to be a little short of marshals, and help is required both trackside and in the assembly area.
If we get a gap in the weather (which we may well do) it'll be a grand day out! Will you join us?
More details from Chief Marshal Paul at gphsmith<at>holtlane.com (please replace the <at> with @ when sending), you'll even get a £5 token for the burger van at lunch time if you're good!
