I'd still like to get the launch evening to the Stands at Aintree, but if that falls through, I'm certainly interested in your location Vanny. I've got the co-ordinator coming across for a site meeting 31 Jan pm, so with any luck we should have a much better idea of what's required by then. And, yes, the cars that will be used in the launch presentaion will be the virtually silent objects that impressed us all at Southport. See www.greenpower.co.uk for more photos & information.

John.
Any further news re Venue - Date - Time etc, on the following.
We are intending to launch the event to local schools & the education authorities in a short evening presentation in late January. We just need a venue for a few hours to show off one of this years cars (static) and display photos etc. Anyone any other ideas for a venue, preferably with ground floor access?
I'd like to use a room in the stands at Aintree so I'm trying to see if one is available...free! If you have any other ideas, please do let me know.
Your Senior Citizen & Clifton Buddy Pete.

Just looking at the rules for the Formula 24+ and realising there is no where in the rules that say you can't use the electric motor to run a hydraulic pump and drive the wheels by hydraulic motor giving instant torque and coupled with a reservoir will allow the motor to run at a very reduced load power making the batteries last much longer! Hmmm £400 for corporate entry seems like a good bet Slowly becoming very interested in this greenpower easter egg racing.

I could possibly re-organise my day to make it, but would the club get any benefit from attending?

Vanny.
I intend to attend this Event myself, but not sure if The Club is involved in any way other than the Use of the Track in September.

To bring everyone up to date, LMC will be helping Greenpower with their stand at the SETPOINT fair, but as the event is designed to help school pupils decide on their future careers and further education, it is not appropriate for LMC to have a stand in its own right. We are adding value to Greenpower by providing local knowledge & acting as an information back-up in connection with the Greepower Car Challenge at Aintree in September. As I understand things, an application for a stand to promote a motor club would not have been accepted by the organisers!

No problem Pete, it's just that the Engineering in Action organiser had received a couple of calls from people who had picked up her contact details from our forum. I just needed to ensure that we directed readers to the right place!
