Well I had a really enjoyable day until the engine spat out a core plug! The Elan had been suffering cooling problems and we were just getting it sorted when water poured out of the bonnet as I rounded Beechers. So it was an early finish, Elan onto the trailer and trundle home. The good thing is that the problems were better had at a trackday rather than a sprint and I have two weeks to get the old girl fixed. Imagine my surprise when a fellow competitor approached me and asked had the Elan always carried the same registration number. I was a bit taken aback until he explained he used to own the car! What are the odds of that happening!

We also had a brilliant day, fortunately with no problems, brilliantly organised and marshalled (special thanks to the guys and girls who man the posts all day) Some really brilliant dices " i know they shouldn't be. The real high point was seeing the safety car go grass tracking again many thanks Tony and David
