Well folks, the Track Day is now full. We've got all the normal track day fodder booked in, Evo's Scubys, Pug 106's & 205's, Civic Type-R, Astras Caterhams etc etc. Plus many of our regular folk, Ian MaClure & his immaculate Green Escort Mk1, John Biddulph in a 911, Tim Barks in his Skyline (lighter & even quicker after modifying it at Bechers last year ), Tim Cooper's wild Audi A2 Quattro , Colin Flynn in his indecently quick & very original Mini Cooper (though why he's entered the novice group I don't know ). New to us this time are a Clan Crusader (not seen one of those on track for years), a TVR Tuscan, a Mitsubishi Legnum VR4 (what's one of those?), a Chevron B8 (Wow that must be worth a mint these days ), and John Garnett's DTM BMW M3 Touring Car (he says he's just here to tweak the engine mapping. Yeh, right! ;D). In the single seaters, we have Peter Brogden in his F3 Ralt, David Brown, Jeff Hodgson & Graham Curwen in their FF1600's (must remind them that racing is not allowed, not that they'll listen! ) and mustn't forget Alec Butler's Ariel Atom. Looks like being an interesting day. Are you going to be there?

If you are at a loose end on Saturday ( i.e. couldn't get an entry) come along & watch from trackside, BE a Marshal! Also help required setting up & clearing away, those straw bales don't grow there you know! Put something back into club motorsport.

What a fantastic day! Thanks everyone: Thanks marshals for setting up everything for the event, standing out there all day in the baking sun, then packing everything away afterwards - a truly great job!
Thanks drivers for staying on the black bit… (well, most of the time!), and for approaching the day in the right frame of mind. With the exception of just a couple of drivers who needed to be spoken to, there was lots of good sensible driving out there, often very quick, often right on the limit, but nonetheless a fair amount of respect shown to other drivers & good use of mirrors - well done!
Thanks to our 2 ARDS instructors John & Jim who were kept busy and made life so much easier and more rewarding for so many of our drivers
Thanks Sue for signing everyone-on, patiently & efficiently
Last but not least, many thanks to my great team at the sharp end Pete, Phil, Geoff A & Geoff M, & Simon on the PA. You should all be proud of yourselves, you all contributed to a great day’s motorsport.
Now, drivers, if you enjoyed yourselves today, let us know by adding your comments here and then please tell your friends. If you think we could have done something better - tell us; we never stop learning!!
Bookings for the October Track Day will open around 31st August. We expect it will be fully booked quite quickly, so make a note to keep checking this site for bookings to open. Got an MSA licence? How about entering our Sprints on 28 June, or 6 Sept? Or our Loton Park Hillclimbs 28/29 July? Same organising team, same weather - we hope! Or bring your car to the North west Motor Show in Southport 21/22 June. See the home page for details.

Thanks to everyone for another great day including the organisers, marshalls and participants who were all really helpful and friendly. I'm looking at doing some more sprints in the future and may even bring my Smart Roadster on the track one of these days!
I'd just like to mention that the white Impreza with carbon bonnet which had it's lights on all day was extremely quick and i'm jealous! If anyone knows what his spec was then please let me know. I nearly soiled myself though when I came round the sweeping bend at Beeches at around 90mph and found him side on in the embankment. So did a couple of others.
*BTW I was in the Integra DC5.

Not only was it quick on the straights but he didn't like to slow down too much for those bends either. I know he had full slicks on too.
