C(b)19 (page 150 of 2009 blue book) says yes if the car is in a British Sprint or British Hillclimb Championship, or is a "new build". Not sure about next year until we see the 2010 blue book,

I am pleased to advise that the 2010 Competitors & Officials Yearbook (the Blue Book) has now been uploaded to the MSA website in full. Please find link below: www.msauk.org/site/cms/contentviewarticle.asp?article=876Kind regards, Andrea Butt Executive Office Services MSA Note that the MSA's site appears to be down today!

Glad you mentioned that, it’s yet another thing I hadn’t checked. The MSA website is back up again (in parts), & the fuel sampling bit seems OK (in J 5.13.7 now) , i.e. those in any class who are not doing the national championships don’t need it (& road prod don’t need it even if doing the national championships). One less thing for most of us to worry about.
I suppose it would have been considered rude to pass the scrute the tube & tell him to suck.

I suppose it would have been considered rude to pass the scrute the tube & tell him to suck. It would certainly be less expensive and safer, I am not so sure about the rude bit!

Re 2010 Blue Book, www.msauk.org/site/cms/contentviewarticle.asp?article=876 Sprintman advises that "The MSA has issued a clarification note, as some of the regs in Section S no longer make sense as there are formatting problems. The clarification covers the rather obvious errors in 10.10, 11.1.1, 11.1.2, 12.1, 12.2, 14.2.1, 14.2.2 and 15.1.1. "
