im new to all of this and have spent years building a zetec powered mk2 escort. Its now done and i find that the reg changes place it in sports libre and that i now need a 6 point harness.
And maybe a National A licence
is there anything else.
licence application has just gone in and the blue book is coming but in the interim is there anything particularly obvious appart from cage (6point bolt in) ....suspension/brakes etc all modified....
any help would be much appreciated...

And maybe a National A licence 1) If the Escort is going to be road registered you will not need a Nat A license. 2) If the Escort is NOT road registered then so long as the Zetec engine is less than 2000cc you will not need a Nat A License. 3) You will need a 6 point harness NB your car was always going to be considered as a Sports Libre due to the choice of engine. Cars like yours (e.g. Zetec powered Fiesta, Vauxhall 2 litre powered Escort Mk2, etc) have for some time been running in Sports Libre. However there are several people who do not consider this to be fair and we are working to get the regulations changed to reflect the reality of the mainly Ford tuning & modification specialists.
