Hello to all who read this. Firstly I'm a newbie to forums so please forgive me if I make any faux pas! I'm hoping some of the members on this board may be motor racing history afficionados who may be able and willing to help me track down information on my father. His name was John (jacky) McLean. He was a Manxman from Douglas who used to race up until 1965. He wiped out on a corner and died from a heart attack in hospital in Liverpool on the 29th June 1965, (or had a heart attack and then crashed, I don't know in which order.) I don't know which track he was racing on before he died, what car he was in or what club/ association he might have raced with. I do know he was an engineer and photographer in IOM and Liverpool. Mum said he used to go down south to race, (prob Brands Hatch) but having his death listed in Liverpool I suspect might have been racing closer to home when he died. Any help, clues, pointers etc in my quest would be very deeply appreciated. sincere regards, Dyan.
